Tuber Albinum Pico
Probably the least known truffle, very fragrant. To discover !
The bianchetto truffle harvest period in Tuscany lasts from January 15 to April 30. However, the bianchetto truffle is generally sold from February until a week after the end of the harvest season.
Particularly widespread in Tuscany, it is found on the sandy soils of the coasts of the province of Grosseto.
Similar in appearance to the white truffle, due to its light color, the marzuolo truffle however has a smoother texture. Its interior is significantly darker and brown in color with some large white veins. It is often small. Despite its small size, its scent is very strong and tasty.
