Terre de fromages has been producing and maturing cheeses in Herve, eastern Belgium, for almost 40 years. This family-run business, based in the Pays de Herve, a region of hedged farmland and pastures well known for its cheese-making culture, transforms the equivalent of the production of 30 dairy farms in the region into Belgian terroir cheeses, including the only Belgian PDO cheese, Herve cheese, cheeses from the Val-Dieu abbey, Meule du Plateau and many others... Our mission is to make the most of the richness of our terroir to provide healthy, sustainable food with the values of passion, honesty and respect. 80% of cheese consumed in Belgium is imported. Our vision is to accelerate the return to local cheeses in Belgium by offering our tasty cheeses to all Belgians!
