Wine estate the Steinberg The parcels of land of wine domain the Steinberg are located in Bree and Oudsbergen in northern Limburg. The first planting was done in 2016 on the Steenberg where the plot catches sun on the eastern slope. The slope was created by the natural fault line that starts from Aachen and gives a slope of about 30 metres. This makes all the plots around 'de steenberg' very interesting for viticulture because of the soil structure. The total area of vineyards already planted amounts to 25 hectares, where the largest part ( 22 hectares ) is located in Oudsbergen. Due to the proximity of the Meuse and the natural fault line, we have a sandy-loamy subsoil with lots of stones. The amount of minerals benefit the vines. This stable subsoil creates a true taste sensation.
