Discover the charm of our cheese farm in Lotenhulle, East Flanders! Far removed from industry, our cows graze on their own land between Ghent and Bruges, which is crucial for the flavor of our cheeses. Thanks to the Meetjesland terroir and vast meadows near creeks, we produce traditional, artisanal cheeses. By milking our cows ourselves, we maintain complete control over the quality of the milk. They enjoy a natural environment, sheltered from weather and wind, and are fed with our own roughage such as grass, hay, and corn. Our "Little Cheese Farm" respects the short supply chain and the lactation cycle of the cows, which are exceptionally well cared for, including massages. This results in high-quality milk, rich in fats and proteins. This fresh whole milk goes directly from the cow to the pasteurizer. In our own cheesemaking facility, we transform this milk into delicious cheeses, using traditional methods from curd preparation to on-site ripening. Our recipes, temperature, air circulation, and humidity levels create the unique taste and aroma of our artisanal cheeses, ready for tasting!
